Go to Allan TaylorAllan Taylor

Using Allan's existing website as the template we designed on-line ordering and acknowledgement pages for his CDs, and also for his songbook (which we re-designed in collaboration with Allan).

Go to Anthony John ClarkeAnthony John Clarke

After initially maintaining and improving Anthony John's website we designed a brand new site to capture not only the professional singer/songwriter but also the fun and genuine warmth of his personality too.

Go to Ashington Folk ClubAshington Folk Club

The club had a single page website with jagged graphics and an unwelcoming layout. The design brief was to provide a vivid site suggesting the revitalised club 'under new management'.

The site, now the envy of many clubs, expanded to include performer profiles, reviews of performances with photos and soundclips. After four years of running the club jiva handed over the responsibility to other members, but continue to maintain the site as an impressive archive covering over 40 years of the club's history.

Go to Bowes RailwayBowes Railway

Bowes Railway has the world's only surviving operational standard gauge rope-hauled system. The site was set up with a railway theme (eg signals, tail lamps, etc) incorporating the organisations logo and colours.

The railway have taken on maintenance of the site themselves and continue to use our original concept, although our design standards are no longer adhered to 100%.

Go to Bridge Folk ClubBridge Folk Club

We designed this site for a long-established folk club. We used some of the existing flyers to provide the groundwork for graphics, updating the design in a way that freshened the image.

Go to Chillingham Folk ClubChillingham Folk Club

This site was set up to promote a relatively new folk club. We incorporated the guitar idea from existing publicity flyers, adding musical notes and giving the site a simple, bright, eye-catching design to maximise impact.

Following a change in the focus of the folk club, the new organisers decided that they only wanted a single page with no news, and no forward diary. This page is still based on our original design. Sadly, with dwindling numbers, the club eventually decided to close.

Go to Collectors CellarCollectors Cellar

Dave and Alistair have a shop in the north east of England specialising in die cast and scale models of cars, trucks, aeroplanes, railways, farm machinery, construction vehicles, buses etc.

Our design uses the shop colours and has a road sign providing the navigation to the different types of model that they sell.

Go to Cramlington Folk ClubCramlington Folk Club

A makeover of the original site, the brief was to preserve the original design intention and basic colour scheme while making the site totally consistent across all pages.

Once the initial changes were agreed we added new sections and improved the usefulness of existing content.

Go to few brothfew broth

Based around the band's banner and publicity flyer, the site retains the 'corporate' PoorNut font for headings and navigation buttons... thus giving an element of zaniness and colour without compromising on consistency of site layout.

It also incorporates an online module allowing the nominated band member to update the 'news' section without needing to access the page HTML.

Go to jivajiva

Based in Northumberland, jiva (Jimmy & Val) are an acoustic duo with a trademark 'gentle blend of acoustic guitars and vocal harmony'. The clean lines of the design coupled with the blended music stave provide a perfect complement to the gentle jiva sound.

When designing our own web presence we aimed for a site which catches the attention, colourful without being gaudy, warm and friendly with a hint of professionalism, business-like but individual and fun.

.. not too much to ask for!

Go to Lorna WindhamLorna Windham

Author of children's books, Lorna commissioned a site to promote her writing and performing/reading activities. She wanted it to be bright and open and a little bit quirky, so we gave it a bold colour scheme and some novel graphics.

MIND Active web-on-a-discMIND Active

The MIND Active charity asked us to design an interactive CD to promote their work. We came up with the idea of a web-on-a-disc which had the option of viewing with or without sound.

The audio tracks on the CD are also playable on domestic or car audio systems.

Go to Simon AlexanderSimon Alexander

We designed Simon's website to complement the artwork from his first album. We also included on-line ordering for Simon's CD.

West Sleekburn Farm Community Music AssociationSong Tales

Song Tales provide music workshops and supporting educational materialsfor children .

The site had to combine a colourful outlook and ease of navigation with the ability to purchase CDs and booklets online.

We also designed a new logo to capture the ethos of Song Tales.

West Sleekburn Farm Community Music AssociationWest Sleekburn Farm
Community Music Association

This was a total re-design of an existing site which had been poorly laid out with meaningless clipart, jagged graphics and no cosistency of layout. We also designed letterhead, compliments slips, flyer templates and newsletters to give a themed approach to the organisation's stationery.

Following a change of management, and the election of a new committee, the organisation changed it's name and focus, and so the WSFCMA website is no longer live.
